Thirty Days of Photographs: A Member of My Family

I'm currently living with two men in a sort of weird, furry, ménage à trois. First, there's M, the furriest of the three of us, who flat-out refused to have his picture taken for the blog. And then there's Darth Vader, who gave me this look when I asked him about the picture.

"Perfect!" I said, and thanked him.

Please don't hang me, this will be the only cat picture in this project. I hope. *

  1. Perfect composition, perfect lighting and perfect timing on the shutter. You are a gifted photographer, Linda, and this picture of M is really nice. He's incredibly hairy, seems tired and has very sharp teeth, but I have a good feeling about him.

Thank you for fixing my spelling error. I had no idea M is actually spelled M in Finnish. I thought it was, "Anteeksi, en puhu rautatieasema." Finnish is very confusing compared to English.

  3. You have captured the "essence of cat".  Brava!

  4. Considering M isn't technically a member of the family yet, you are forgiven for the kitty pic.

  5. No, no, no.  I WANT MORE cat pictures!

Open mouth.  Insert fish.  HURRY UP, MOM!

  6. M does look very nice in this picture. This is his better angle, I bet you can tell.

  7.  You're very good at Finnish, Michael. Or, as we say in Finnish, "paljon lunta mutta ei taskulamppua."

  8. Thank you, Linda! Coincidentally, that's also what my new perfume is called.

  9. Thank you, Double-O, I don't deserve your forgiveness.

  11. More cat pictures?? I'm pretty sure the internet might actually explode if I tried to cram any more cat pictures into it.

  12. That's funny.  I have "Eau de Dawg" as my new parfum.

  13. Hell, I don't deserve your thanks -  I'm surprised I haven't been chastised for my avatar yet.  (But, honestly, I didn't know about the cat/internet thingy until recently.)

  15. That makes no sense at all, Double-O.

  16. I'm very impressed by the quality of the picture, but a little disappointed in the subject. A cat named Darth Vader...where's his helmet & cape?

  17. I tried, but the cat told me in no uncertain terms that if I ever dressed him in a hemlet and cape, he would kill me in my sleep. I should just rename him "Psycho."

  18. Now that you mention it, you really need to do something about that avatar, cats are so last season. ;)

  19. I love him, too. Right up until he sinks those fangs into me when I'm not paying him enough attention.

  20. Yeah, sorry Double-O, I'm with Mike, you're making no sense at all.

  21. Nothing beats that wet dog smell.

  22. Kumpikaan teistä mitään järkeä myöskään.

  23. I know, right?  Well, actually, they can both beat that wet dog smell, but you really don't want to hear about that.
